About us....Created in 2007 by childminders, Debby and Jo, as a unique one-stop resource for childminders, Nick and I have now taken over The Childminding Shop. We aim to develop this wonderful resource and keep bringing you new and exciting ideas to help you in your work with children.I am a qualified Speech and Language Therapist and have worked with children for many years in the NHS until I took a career break. Nick runs the business side of things.Toys which stimulate imaginative play, number and pattern recognition, problem solving, fine motor skills and which encourage language development are of vital importance to the developing child and our toys and materials are selected with National Strategies and EYFS in mind.
We also take ecology and conservation seriously and try where possible to purchase from suppliers who use sustainable materials and good practice. In addition, we try to recycle* where possible to help the environment and to help keep costs low.We would be happy to hear from you if you have a suggestion or know of a product you think we should stock, so please feel free to email us with your suggestions to sales@thechildmindingshop.co.ukJenny and Nick*How we recycle...At the moment we try to recycle all packaging that comes our way. The box your goods come to you in will always be suitable for the item packed. We use other peoples boxes or packaging most of the time. We feel this is really important as it keeps costs down (so cheaper prices for you) and is so much better for the environment. If you would like to tell us your view on this, please feel free to email, all feedback - good or bad is welcome!
