Babushka - a tale of love at Christmas

Babushka - a tale of love at Christmas

Babushka - A Traditional Russian Folktale, retold.

Babushka (Grandmother in Russian) is surprised by three crowned kings, who call at her house complete with camels, and by an angel who tells her of a baby born in a stable.  She sets off by the light of a star with a warm shawl and toy for the baby and ginger cordial for the grown ups but gives them all away to people who need them who she meets on the road to Bethlehem.  When she arrives at the stable she has no gifts left but discovers that it does not matter. Because of the good turns she has done her gifts have all ended up in the places she intended.
