Fai Chun was started in AD500.  It is a greeting Chinese people use to pray for others and wish others to be healthy,  rich,  lucky,  young or beautiful. Normally, four Chinese words will be used for this greeting. It is customary to use this greeting at Chinese New Year and to paste the greetings either side of a doorway to wish people good luck.
