We think:  Great for educational purposes - & maybe for slightly older children to understand but ideal for learning about different currencies and useful for the new style coins which no longer have an easily identifiable number for children to learn.

These coins show the new designs for the U.K. money and have a magnetic back so that they can be used on metallic boards (see http://www.thechildmindingshop.co.uk/magnetic-dry-wipe-board-a4-5387-p.asp).

To aid ease of use they are slightly larger than the actual coins but still in proportion to each other (from 27mm to 40mm).
