In the UK our goods are normally dispatched using couriers or Royal Mail. For the rest of the world we use Air Mail.
On the UK mainland Postage and Packaging is charged at £3.95 for economy orders in mainland UK**
If you are looking for premium delivery (guaranteed within 48 hours) we charge £7.95 for each order in mainland UK. Please note guaranteed 48 hour delivery is assuming 'in stock' items and business trading days only (Mon-Fri), Items ordered are usually dipatched same day Mon-thurs for orders before 12 noon, orders placed after noon on Fri may be sent the following mon. However, please feel free to contact us if you have an urgent requirement and we will do our best to accommodate your wishes.
**Some areas/postcodes, offshore and highlands are excluded from this offer. Should you not choose the right postage options, The Childminding Shop will contact you for the monetary difference before dispatching your goods.
Postage outside of this area and for the rest of the world is dependant upon weight. please see below for an Idea of pricing.
European/EU £6.95 delivery is for Airmail standard parcels weighing up to 2 kilos should your order come to more than this weight, we will contact you with the option of upgrading delivery costs or a full refund.
Large Items will therefore incur a much higher delivery charge as these are dipatched via our courier service at present this charge is usually approx £35-£40 please contact us for details.

If you are from overseas and the items you would like to buy are heavier than 2kg please email us so we can calculate the postage and let you decide whether you still want to make the purchase. (when you place an order you will be advised to do this).

Missed Deliveries:
Should you fail to collect or respond to a missed delivery and the parcel is returned to us, the ACTUAL cost of re-sending your items will be your responsibility. PLEASE NOTE this cost may be higher than our standard delivery charges. In this circumstance we do not usually offer a refund on your purchase.
Should you wish to cancel your order for this reason, we reserve the right to charge for the full amount of original postage.
We update the site as soon as new products become available so check back from time to time.
ERRORS AND OMISSIONS
If there has been a pricing error anywhere on this website The Childminding Shop reserves the right to contact the customer for the monetary difference.
Shipping And Handling
We aim to ship all items within 5-7 working days but to countries outside the UK delivery may take up to 28 days.
Delivery Schedule
We process your order right away. We anticipate that we will be able to dispatch your order to you within seven business/working days. These are, however, simply guidelines. We cannot guarantee that items will be delivered within the suggested timeframe as delays do occur.
International orders are generally received in under 28 days depending on your choice of mail service.
We will keep you updated at all times on dispatch dates or estimated dispatch dates if your item is on back order.
Back Orders
If when you place an order the item is out of stock, we can place it on back order for you and deliver it to you when it becomes available again. We will endeavour to provide you with regular progress reports.
Credit Card Security
The Childminding Shop uses Protx, a well known and respected company to provide a secure environment for your transaction. If you wish, you may also send us a cheque (from UK customers only), but this will delay your order as we must wait for your funds to clear before we ship any merchandise. This also applies to echeques.
We do not store any financial data on our systems.

Returns Policy
If you have a product which requires to be returned to us please contact us for a RETURNS NUMBER before you mail it to us.
If you do not have a returns number, any refund due may be delayed
It is the buyers responsibility to keep the item in good condition and to return it to us safely, all original packaging should be returned and it is strongly advised that returned items are sent via a tracked service.

We will issue any refunds as soon as we receive the product from you. Please note, refunds may given in the form of a cheque.
PLEASE NOTE: If you decide to return a product the cost of return shipping is usually your responsibility. PLEASE NOTE: this cost may be higher than the original postage paid as you will be charged for the ACTUAL cost of shipping your item should this exceed the amount already paid. However, in some circumstances, where an item is faulty we may agree to refund your shipping costs, this is entirely at our discretion.
All returns must be notified to us within 7 working days of receipt and returned within 14 days of receipt as in line with distance selling regulations, after this time returns are only accepted at our descretion or if the item is faulty.

This allows us to process and fulfil your order and notify you of your order status. We also ask you for your telephone number(s) so that we can contact you easily if required.

You may receive a full refund of the purchase price and the delivery charge, in order to cancel you MUST contact us by email, all items must be returned within 14 working days from the day after delivery. it is your responsibility to return the item to us in good condition, failure to do so may result in us claiming the value of the goods from you through legal channels. All items should be sent using a tracked service.
