Dispatch of orders
We usually dispatch within 24 hours and often on the same day we receive the order. When we dispatch a product directly from our suppliers we aim to dispatch these orders within 7 working days.
Shipping within the UK
In the UK our goods are normally dispatched using couriers or Royal Mail. Our Standard delivery is second class post with the option of first class at a higher charge. Large parcels are sent by courier and may take up to 5 days in transit.
Standard Shipping charges for UK
Standard 2nd class £2.99. Standard 1st class £4.99. Orders over £40.00 free delivery. Your delivery options will appear automatically when you reach the checkout and shipping stages of your order. We operate a click and collect option of customers who are able to collect their order from a DN postcode area.
On the UK mainland Standard Postage and Packaging is charged at a single rate for all orders. Some offshore islands and highlands are excluded from this offer. Should you not choose the right postage options, The Childminding Shop will contact you for the monetary difference before dispatching your goods or giving a refund.
Please contact us if you have an urgent delivery requirement and we will do our best to accommodate your wishes.
Shipping outside the UK
Shipping to mainland Europe and the rest of the world is dependent upon weight. We offer a range of weights and if your order exceeds the shipping weight you have chosen we will contact you for the difference or to refund your payment.
Please note that overseas buyers are responsible for any import charges. No import taxes or charges will be paid for by The Childminding Shop.
Deliveries outside the UK often take up to 28 days to arrive.
All Customers - Missed Deliveries:
If the delivery agent is unable to deliver and you fail to collect or respond to a missed delivery and the parcel is returned to us, the ACTUAL cost of re-sending your items will be your responsibility. PLEASE NOTE this cost may be higher than our standard delivery charges. In this circumstance we do not usually offer a refund on your purchase.
Should you wish to cancel your order for this reason, we reserve the right to charge for the full amount of original postage.
Errors and Omissions
If there has been a pricing error anywhere on this website The Childminding Shop reserves the right to contact the customer for the monetary difference or to refund what has been paid.
Items out of stock
If, when you place an order, the item is out of stock, we will contact you to discuss an alternative, a refund or a back order and we will deliver it to you when it becomes available again. We will endeavour to provide you with regular progress reports.
We are currently not VAT registered so prices do not include a reclaimable amount of VAT and our invoice is not a VAT invoice.
Credit Card Security
The Childminding Shop uses Sagepay, and sometimes Paypal, both well-known and respected companies, to provide a secure environment for your transaction. If you wish, you may also send us a cheque drawn in sterling, but this will delay your order as we will wait for your funds to clear before we ship any merchandise. We do not store any of your financial data on our systems.

If you have a product which requires to be returned to us please contact us for a RETURNS NUMBER before you mail it to us.

It is the buyers responsibility to keep the item in good condition and to return it to us safely. All original packaging should be returned and it is strongly advised that returned items are sent via a tracked service.

We will issue any refunds as soon as we receive the product from you.
PLEASE NOTE: If you decide to return a product the cost of return shipping is usually your responsibility. T his cost may be higher than the original postage paid as you will be charged for the ACTUAL cost of shipping your item. However, in some circumstances, where an item is faulty we may agree to refund your shipping costs, this is entirely at our discretion.
All returns must be notified to us within 7 working days of receipt and returned within 14 days of receipt as in line with distance selling regulations. After this time returns are only accepted at our discretion or if the item is faulty.

We also ask you for your telephone number(s) so that we can contact you easily if required. If you pay online via Sage we never know your payment card details. If you pay by telephone we do not store your payment card details.

Your Right to Cancel
You have the right to cancel your contract with us at any time before the expiry of 7 working days from the day after the date of delivery of the products. You may receive a full refund of the purchase price and the delivery charge, in order to cancel you MUST contact us by email, all items must be returned within 14 working days from the day after delivery. It is your responsibility to return the item to us in good condition, failure to do so may result in us claiming the value of the goods from you. All items should be sent using a tracked service.
